Engagement involves several steps that must be undertaken with care, the proper information, and an understanding of the Indigenous modern treaty holder you will be engaging with.
It is important to note that each modern treaty holder is different and will have specific requests regarding engagement. Therefore, this section uses three stages of engagement as a general framework of best practices for engagement with Indigenous modern treaty holders.
